Favorite Aunt/Uncle Race

The race is on, first Aunt Molly represented the Duffy clan with a great 6 weeks of fun. Then Uncle John and Yani looked like they were going to take the lead with playtime at Meme's. Around the bend came Aunt Nikki and Uncle Dave with blueberry picking and horsey rides. Then down the pike came Jake and Lauren with climbing and music at the park. It's the home stretch and Shiney and Andy are playing hardball with castle trips, story time and "Andy rides". Auntie M and Uncle Bill are really going to have to pull out all the stops at Christmas to get in on the action.

Growing like a Pumpkin

I seem to be growing bigger but not taller. My sister still makes me laugh and also raise my eyebrows. I am 14.5 lbs and getting bigger by the day. Yesterday we started on brei. It is the German baby cereal. Mommy is convinced it will make me get back to sleeping through the night. I on the other hand am not so sure that is a good idea. What will all that milk do just sitting there for 10 hours? I finally got in my "big girl toy" but seems that my mom's 26.5 in inseam is genetic so I just dangle in it for now. I see a future of alterations in the pants department for me.

Thanks papa Jon and aunt Billie for the climbing holds. I thought I'd have mom throw a few pictures of me practicing my skills at the bouldering gym and as an adventure photographer. Can't wait to have my own wall. By the time I am old enough I am sure that bouldering will be an Olympic sport and I am going for gold.

Tug Boatin

We had great luck hitting the last sunny day in the NW (probably till next July) and we decided to go out on the boat. There was no skiing or wake boarding because the Willamette River is practically a super fund site. That aside we had fun. Denali loved it, Kerala slept the entire time doing her best impression of the turtles on her life vest.

Going for Gold

Kerala has taken up gymnastics. I knew that our girls would be naturally athletic (cause Duff told me and he is "always right") but I didn't anticipate such young ages for their athleticism. Kerala has taken to the "perpendicular bars" and the "floor roll and spin" routine. She is splendid at both. I went to take a quick shower the other day and came back to find her about 5 feet from where I left her. Not sure if she scooted on her back, which she loves to do, or if she rolled all the way. Here is slight photographic evidence of her bars routine. She grabs hold of the bars on the gymini and pulls herself around to get to the toy that she wants to put in her mouth. Not surprising she is a determined little lady.
