Cool Enough to Go Outside

We have been waiting for this day for quite a while. Yesterday we went out to Garden Canyon to play on the playground and in the stream. It was really fun and I had the slide under control in only a few turns. Mommy even raced me a few times. Then we went to see the stream and I felt like I needed to dip my toes in. I am just getting ready for our trip to the beach this weekend.

My First Braids

I wasn't so sure what was taking so long while mommy was putting in my ponies but then she told me to go look in the mirror and I saw the beautiful braids that she made. I love them and I think I look really cute with them don't you?! I haven't pulled them out yet (2 hours and running). Maybe I should be Pipi Strumpfhosen for Halloween.

Super Baby

It is with great pleasure that I announce my alter-ego super baby. My powers include "running real fast" being "super sneaky" and the fangs of death. So far only the green tomatoes have experienced the fangs of death but sometimes I feel like I just might lash out at those kids at the mall play place that are so mean and try to pull me off the toys. Don't they know who I am?! Guess next time I'll have to wear my cape.

Little Girls

I have been doing so many fun things. I found some wings that mommy was hiding from me and then we went to the mall to play and I found some beautiful shoes to try on. We went out to dinner and I got a sundae. It was huge.

The Letter R is for Raspberry

My new favorite letter is R. R for raspberry hair detangler after tubby time, R for ripe red raspberries at mommom's house and R for giving mommy raspberries on her tummy. I love R.

Mary, Mary Quite Contrary

How does your garden grow?
Well I had no idea how dirty real gardens were until I went to Mommom's garden yesterday. I had to grab a leaf and sweep up a bit. I got to pick lots of fruit and veggies but the potatoes were too dirty for my liking. I like to be presentable at all times you know. Here are a few highlights from the garden.

Busy Little Beaver

We are up here in the great NW again. I have been busy in the 3 days I've been here. I had my first haircut at a beauty shop (Thanks Kari for the info on the place) I also went and saw the Rose Gardens with my Uncle John and Miss Yani. There were so many pretty flowers to smell. Here are a few pics of the events. More commentary to come cause I had a lot on my mind.

90% Papa's girl

I took cheif and mommy for a walk yesterday. I found some great things. I found a whole bunch of little ants that made mommy yell and pick me up and brush me off. I also found mud puddles. It has been raining so much here that water is in puddles on the ground even though it is hot out. Mommy says she'll put up the video as soon as papa makes it from an MOV file to one we can use. Love to all, go out and look for some mud puddles, they are really quite fun.

Too Cool for School

I found the suitcase that mommy has been hiding a bunch of cute things in. She said she was saving them for fall. I think that she is crazy. She must be remembering when her mom bought her school clothes and she had to wait until the first day of school to wear them. Well finders keepers. I had to wear my new shoes and outfit and then really had to go show it off at my play place. I run the show there you know. My audience awaits my arrival and I wave at everyone like I am in a parade when we come and go. No need to wait to look cute, sheesh silly mommy.

My Little Green Thumb

Sorry no pics for this story, you'll have to just imagine. Last night we were invited to dinner at the chaplains house. He and his wife will soon be moving to our neck of the woods so we gave them a few pointers and numbers and such. They happen to have one of the few yards in SV Arizona with grass. Denali was in love. She ran all over it with their 2 dachshunds. Then she discovered the tomato plants. This summer a highlight to her day is watering our tomatoes. After watering she gets really close, bends over and searches for any tomatoes no matter how small. Very few of the poor things actually get to ripen before her little hands pluck them and run around talking to her new exciting find. So of course she decided to help herself to the chaplain's tomatoes. Apparently they don't pluck their tomatoes each day cause she came back with half a dozen green-greenish red tomatoes. I was so embarrassed. Luckily his wife piped up and said "Oh that is okay they are great fried." I didn't think such a young child would take an interest in gardening and continue to be interested every day. It is part of her routine now. I guess we'll have to plant a garden when we get back to Europe.
