Care Bear Files

I might be new around here and I might be sweet and quiet but I think I deserve to show off this body. I am rollie pollie and no one is stopping me. I can melt hearts with these cheeks and the pouty lip, we don't even have to go there cause I got that one in the bag. Papa is in sooo much trouble when he gets home. I am all done with the blue mouth. Thanks to mom I had to sport blue lips for a couple days. Modern medicine, sheesh. It's a good thing I am so cute cause people just love to love me and I love to love the peeps.

I always loved that song on the movie White Christmas. Here are a few recent pictures of Denali and Kerala just lounging around and loving on each other. Of course Denali is doing more of the lounging and Kerala more of the loving. I am starting to have flashbacks to when my sister used to run away from me in the front yard as I ran as fast as my little chubby legs could go to try to catch her to "play."

It's A Sunshine Day

We have been having a great week here in the sun. It is a lot like Portland in that there are so many rainy days that the hillsides are full of green so when the sun comes out it is a glorious occasion. I haven't taught Denali "The hills are alive" just yet but I am getting close. We are still trying to work on "Take me out to the ball game" for baseball season at Auntie March's house. This week we went to the zoo, planted flowers in the front of our house and hung out with some friends in the sun and on the back patio that I made Duff build while he was home on his "Rest and Relaxation" time :) I am also loving this new (and quite possibly the most beautiful) afghan that my friend Angie made for Kerala. It just makes the room bright and with 40 watt bulbs we need all the brightening we can get.

Princesses and Castles

Meme and Bobo just left so I am having to re-train mom on how to treat a princess. You would think that all the traveling to castles and far, far aways would have kept it fresh in her head. Anyway I am going to need to spend all extra time cracking the whip. Here are a few pictures of me on my adventures with Meme and Bobo.

Kindergarten

I only have a quick second to blog but this was too cute not to share. Denali started German kindergarten a few weeks ago and has been slowly letting go of my hip. Today when I went to pick her up she was telling me all kinds of things. I asked her "What is the name of the teacher with blonde hair" and she replied "Bitte shon." To those who don't speak German that means please and/or thank you. She has been calling this teacher Bitte shon for nearly a month. It is really cute to see that she is trying to pick up the German language and even cuter that she named a teacher "Please and Thank you."
