The Not So Happy Valentine

We spent the last week in the hospital. Dispite your viral infection and bronchitis you kept your cheery disposition. In fact you were so excited to see visitors and each time a nurse came in you greeted them with a wave. By the fifth day you were like a caged monkey. We turned your hospital crib into a play den and you gave all a show dancing and playing. You slept close to me and snuggled up for extra love but continued to smile and explore. One of your new favorite things was to stand in the window sill and wave at the carpenters across the field on their smoke break. You also learned to brush your own hair which brought a smile to my face each time you created a new do. I am glad that we are home and you are feeling well and back to your fast paced self.
